"75" Years, Remembering Your First Daffodil Parade".

Orting’s float entry, “Garden Gala”, flashes back to remind us of how this very parade originated. In the early 1900’s, Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. Orton hosted a garden party, where guests could view varieties of daffodils planted around their Sumner estate. With the daffodil infused Arbor, the scene is set for a garden party of our very own. Orting’s daffodil princesses, in their vintage style dresses, venture beside a winding rock path, portraying some of the many guests who had browsed throughout this garden while enjoying many of springtime’s beautiful blooms…
